Bio: My overriding philosophy in this game: What ever came before, never close off your alternatives. Enemies today can be allies tomorrow, if the situation is right. Find five trustworthy companions and try your skills against the Devil's Advocates, Bulletproof, Rainbow Six and other notable champions of the LiP series! Victories: Individual - Second and third wins were Two Week Sprint (cut throat, two ticks per day, 20 cycle max) and Quick Draw II. I can't remember which game was my first...I think maybe my Thorns of Experience game. It was a while ago. Fourth and fifth came in the Age of Immortals series - numbers 5 and (I think) 7. Sixth and most recent win was in Manticore's variation called Shadows of Nergal. Team - LiP II*, LiP III*, LiP V, EN Champions Cup, and two of the six Threshold of Elimination tournament games (our team won the overall tournament as well), and Generations 3*. Also was part of the Fire team that won the Battle of Fangorn Forest. * - Captained my team LiP History: Created the Lesson in Pain game template (with help from many) to allow for preset team game format so that I could play with several individuals as allies without entering a game with preset alliances (also known as "clanning"). The key theme to LiP is "all for one, one for all." A team of top notch players who do not play together will lose to a well coordinated team of lesser individual skill, and that is as it should be. Six players per team with DR set gives the ideal EN balance, in my opinion. COOP, CBB, FTG and FFG create the atmosphere in which team communication and coordination become paramount. With a properly sized purse and a large enough SB (I believe 3 is the number being used at present), the team can be held accountable for a single teammate being driven to the brink of elimination. As LiP IX also showed, the series is the most diplomatically challenging template in EN. Truly the finest test of team play in Evernight, if I do say so myself! I have competed in LiPs I, II, III, V, VII, VIII and IX. My team, the Devil's Advocates, finished second in LiP I, won LiPs II, III, and V, finished fifth in LiP VII, fourth in LiP VIII, and just made the purse at third in the brutal LiP IX. I captained the team in LiPs I, II, III, VII, VIII and IX. Heckler captained in LiP V, as I was time constrained and so could only play, not lead. The team has played in seven LiP contests and the EN Champions Cup, and has won four of those games, while also coming in second in LiP I. I am the only player to have played on all the Devil's Advocate teams. Two players have been on seven Devil's Advocates teams: Cajun and Imperator. Heckler has played on five of the Devil's Advocates rosters, missing the victory in LiP II and the fifth place finish in LiP VII. The original six included the four mentioned and Pooter and Endymion, who each played on the first three Devil's Advocates rosters for LiPs I, II, and III. Wolfmurphy filled in for Heckler in LiP II, but that was his only game for the team. After LiP III, Pooter and Endymion left the hobby, so Luhego and gondi joined the team for LiP V. Luhego only played the one game for the team, but gondi has played four times, also joining our most recent victory in the EN Champions Cup and the team for LiP VII and VIII. Foehammer filled in for Luhego and has played in four contests now, the EN Cup and LiP VII, VIII and IX. Zoldar played for the team for the first time in LiP VII. The Godfather replaced Heckler for LiP VIII and IX. LiP IX was the first major turnover in the team roster, as The Godfather, Foehammer and I welcomed first timers Bobcobra, Skunk Ape, and The Mad Scot. The team has had two captains: Beefy, for LiPs I, II, III, VII, VIII, and IX; and Heckler, for LiP V and the EN Champions Cup.
