Bio: i used to have a few hamsters - little tiny dwarf hamsters. i started with a pair, and well, let's just say that rabbits have nothin' on hamsters. my favorite one was this three-legged one that i called Tripod. he didn't start off three-legged, mind you; a three year old yanked off one of his back legs when he was a little pink baby. he survived the trauma, and for whatever reason his mother didn't abandon him after he was touched. so he grows up - or as grown up as an inch high hamster can get. he'd do the wheel thing, and he'd be booking right along, but with the one back leg, he'd kinda drift sometimes. since he was my favorite, i decided to take him with me on one of my regular flights. i called the airline to see if there was anything special i needed to do and they said i had to pay an extra $60 to take him with me, and they tagged my account so that now, whenever i fly, they always ask me if i'm bringing a hamster. no joke. with the hamster charge being almost the cost of a whole person ticket, i almost bought him his own seat. unfortunately, there was a small problem. the other hamsters had apparently gotten wind of the preferential treatment, and while i was away, they killed him and they ate his face. seriously. i no longer have those hamsters.
