Proclaimation from your Emporer
I bring a message from Dranden I, newly crowned Emperor of a Million Worlds.
Now that Shaddam IV of House Corrino has been toppled by the Smugglers Guild, the Golden Lion throne, seat of Imperial Power, has been moved to the city of Arrakeen on Arrakis. By proclamation of the Emperor, Lord Mythris is hereby named Supreme Commander of the Emperor’s Military for his flawless execution on the battlefield, including the Elimination of ScreamingBeagle and Starwind. Lord Jonners is commanded to serve as the Emperor’s Mentat, Spymaster, and Chief of Assassins for his insightful intelligence reports and crafty ways. Lord Mordeeb, our mole from the Arrakis team, is hereby appointed Minister of Spice Production for his contributions in ensuring a stable spice supply to his teammates. Lastly, Lord Fire Warrior II is named Personal Advisor to the Emperor for his steadfastness and loyalty to his team. Truly this victory was a team effort and no emperor could have asked for a better team to ride into battle with.
I must also mention the other Great Houses whose support help the Smugglers seize control of the Universe. The Baron Rolston of House Harkonnen was a steadfast partner and though hampered by the untimely demise of Pugthud, still managed to take second place in the struggle. The Lord of Salusa Secondus, Guilluim, proved to be a trustworthy alliance partner. Lady Tyrus of the Wallach team unfortunately met her end, but the Smugglers Team was able to meet our alliance obligation and rushed to the rescue of Lord Oghma, Lady Caitea, and Lord Strider. A special thanks to Lord Nwar Dezir for his timely execution of Lord Makrothumeo and Lord Hooligan. Lastly, we must thank Navigator Mandos for being a solid alliance member and devising this wicked contest. To the defeated Noble Houses of Arrakis and Calladan, I must say that there is nothing personal to your destruction and I hope there is a chance for us to work together in Dune Messiah.
Dune is a world of shifting loyalties, traitors, and questionable honor. I hope everyone enjoyed playing in the game and I look forward to seeing all of you in Dune Messiah. Remember, he who controls the Spice controls the Universe.
